This years turn out for the parade with entries and locals coming to observe, was just as good as last year. Mother Nature cooperated greatly, giving us a beautiful, bright and sunny day for the event. It was big and very fun for all ages. There were so many different floats and groups to enjoy and they made it fun for the crowds as well.
The 68th Annual Parade was big with a lot of entries and we thank them all for being in the parade. The community turn out was awesome as well. Everyone had a great time.
Whew, it was a cold one this year for the Miller Place - Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but all the participants soldiered through to give the communities the afternoon of Irish Culture they long-awaited for.
We had many entries again this year involving Girl and Boy Scouts, floats, Irish Bag Pipers, Irish Step Dancers, Suffolk Police, multiple Fire Districts, Car Clubs and Local Businesses participating in the Parade.
On behalf of the Friends of St. Patrick Committee, we want to thank Suffolk County Police for the road closures, the parade participants and especially our members for a fun and warming of spirits on such a cold day.
Miller Place - Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade was a hit and all enjoyed a beautiful day of fun.
What a great Parade we were able to bring to our communities. We had 95 entries in the Parade this year. Such great variety of floats, Irish Bag Pipers, Irish Step Dancers, Suffolk Police, multiple Fire Districts and Local Businesses participating in the Parade.
Thank You to everyone in the community, the participants and especially our members to making it a success.
